Problem with upgrading my Minecraft Xbox edition to Minecraft Live edition

Hello! 28.12.2017 i bought x-box one x and Minecraft xbox one edition on CD disk. When i saw message about possibility of upgrading my Minecraft to Minecraft Live version, i played nearly 5 hours or more, but still can not upgrade my Minecraft to Live version.

How can i upgrade my game for free now?

Playing Minecraft between devices and platforms

You can play Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition with other devices running Minecraft: Pocket Edition, such as Windows 10 and Windows Phone devices.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition can only be played with other Xbox 360 consoles on Xbox Live. The Xbox One edition can only be played online with other Xbox One consoles. There is no cross-platform play between the Xbox editions and other editions of Minecraft.

Minecraft upgrading?

I have some questions about upgrading from Minecraft 360 edition to Xbox one edition. They said that if you own a copy of Minecraft Xbox 360 it would be cheaper. we would only have to pay a lower price for Minecraft on Xbox one. An upgrading fee if you will.
But Xbox one does not have a download history list. so how would marketplace know if you already own Minecraft on Xbox? How would the Upgrading fee be applied? So basically how does this whole upgrading thing work? wouldn't you have to prove that you have
downloaded Minecraft for the Xbox 360 in order to upgrade? Thank you for taking the time to read and possibly respond. Xbox for life. Keep it gaming.

Same issue, but bought the disc version way earlier, and also purchased a DLC. Been waiting for the Better Together update for a month now, the chat support told me to be patient or just buy the game. I'm not buying it, this is just poor service to be honest,
people want their Minecraft, so what's the big idea?

Oh, just a friendly reminder though that Minecraft Xbox One Edition is no longer available it was upgraded to Minecraft bedrock edition. Were you able to upgrade before when it was given for free?

As Smwutches stated the Bedrock edition is the upgrade from Minecraft Xbox One edition, the only way to play the Xbox One edition now is if you
install it from a disc.

I believe that this upgrade of minecraft editions is to do with the whole minecraft cross play thing.

Hey there, you've probably got the old version 'Xbox One Edition'. It used to be a free upgrade, however it is not anymore. The aquatic update is on: 'Minecraft' not 'Minecraft Xbox One Edition'.

The Bedrock edition is an upgrade for the original Minecraft Xbox One Edition. Since that became available, the Xbox One Edition was removed. You can still find it on disc, but once you've upgraded the digital edition there is no way to go back.
