    Problem with the microphone of the headphone


    Hello, I'm on a group of friends, I hear them but they don't hear me , but all work well a few minutes ago.

    I made the update of the console and the controller and it is only the headphone provided with the console.

    Adapter to add a microphone to standard headphones?

    I have a number of high quality headphones, so I would rather no spend money on dedicated gaming headphones just because I need a mic. Does anyone know if a microphone/adapter that attaches inline to any headphone is available that works with the new Xbox
    One controller? I am looking for something that standard headphones plug into, that contains a microphone, then that microphone connects to the Xbox One controller. Something like

    this    , but has a port that my headphones can plug into.

    I think the problem is the headphones, it can happen that the microphone can break when they can't hear you, try to connect another pair of headphones to see if it gives you the same problem.

    Hello, if the headphones work fine with other devices, then the problem is not with the headphones. If you have had the same problem with previous Xbox consoles, then the problem may be with the console settings or with the console hardware.

    Changing your age on your Microsoft account should have nothing to do with the microphone issue.

    The static noise you notice when microphone monitoring is on may be an indicator of an issue with the console's hardware.

    Hello, having an echo is often due to misuse. The microphone is very sensitive and I noticed that on several headphones the fact that the microphone thread touching the limits of the headphones it caused an echo.

    Thank you for answering to my problem. If i bypass the controller and connect the headphones directly to the PC it is working fine, both sound and microphone.
