    Problem with the initial update


    Just bought an Xbox one, & it won't process the initial update; just says "there's a problem processing this update & you need it to use your console". The wireless network seems to be working fine.

    i cant get past 78%,,, tried about 10 times at least ,,, i spent £600 on this lot and am just angry now,,, grrrr! :/

    Initial Update Problem...

    I've seen other threads but i just wanted to start a fresh one to see if anyone could help with my specific problem.

    Suffering from hangs when downloading the initial update, most of the time at 10%, but then occasionally it will get to either 15% or 74%.

    Tried power cycling the xbox and all of my home network, just incase.

    Has anyone had any other success with getting past the hangs in downloading the update? Emergency offline update?

    Any help is appreciated thank you.

    Turn off everything that may be feeding off of your wifi and try it again. That should help.

    That is correct. The Console has a built in surge suppressor. Using an external surge suppressor can cause all kinds of issues.
