    Hello. my controller is shutting down every few minnutes. I've tried to replace the batteries and it didn't solve the problem.

    what could be the reason for this?

    Have to charge the battery every 1 hour

    Im actually having the same problem, just came on here to find a solution.

    One thing I have noticed with this problem is that if you remove the battery then replace it, the system will show that the battery is full again. Sadly I have to do this numerous times till the battery is truly drained.

    This is not a problem with the battery as the charge is lasting as it should. It has something to do with the controller not reporting correctly or the console not reading correctly. Either way its getting old!

    BRAND NEW rechargeable battery pack not working

    So I got my Xbox 360 and a controller with play and charge kit this Christmas, and the battery that came with the controller package will not recharge. The battery was starting to run low today so I decided to charge it. The light on the charge cables
    won't come on and I've confirmed the battery is the problem by switching out the battery on the same controller, by putting the battery in a different controller, and by changing charge cables. Could this battery have come faulty new in the package?

    Hi, that could just be a dirty battery contact, pop the battery out and check the contacts are clean on both the battery and inside the battery bay on the controller. If you use a rechargable battery pack then try regular batteries as it could be the battery
    pack itself that's causing the problem.

    Have now tried 4 different battery packs with different batteries. Definitely not the problem. No problem at all on friend's Xbox.

    I suggest you try a test using regular batteries or rechargeable batteries to see if the problem is with your controls or your original batteries.
