Problem with Playing TV

No they are not 4k tv's. Only mine. On the other tv's doesn't matter what resolution I use. It flashes and black screen. On my tv no flashes on 1440p only when playing certain games and streaming it flashing black screen and no signal. But on 1440p it starts up no problem. Going through menus no problem. Playing call of duty problem.

Yea, I think he's playing on a standard TV, as I only heard this problem for people who play on standard TVs. Everyone must upgrade to HD tv's to experience todays games now-a-days. If you don't then, this will become a common problem for you. And there's
nothing you can do about it in the settings to help it either. Sorry.

I tested a DVD in my Xbox 360 and I was able to reproduce the audio-drop problem. I never had DVD playback problems before I relocated my Xbox 360 to this new HTMI cable :-(

This was odd since I used this HTMI cable to connect my PS3 to the television and I didn't remember any issues.

So I unplugged my XBox 360 and plugged in my PS3 and tried playing the same DVD.

In the PS3 the DVD played fine and there was no audio drop. Also tested playing a blu-ray disc .... no problem

Tested a PS3 game .... no problem.

So is there a compatability issue with XBox 360 and some HTMI cables. Is there a specific specification of cable that is require to play 'Movies & TV' without audio skip ? Or is there specific setting on the XBox 360 and the TV that I need to set in order
to make things work ? My TV is a Sony Bravia.

Summary (using same htmi cable):

XBox 360 - playing games - FINE (no problems)

XBox 360 - playing DVD - BAD audio-drop problem

XBox 360 - playing 'Movies & TV' - BAD audio-drop problem

PS3 - playing 'Movies & TV' - FINE (no problems)

PS3 - playing DVD - FINE (no problems)

PS3 - playing games - FINE (no problems)

Any TV over 60hz will have this problem. There should be an option to switch it to game mode in the TV menu.

Had this problem with my Toshiba while playing BF3. Everything felt so out of sync lol.

It cannot be due to the controller, regular tv are controlled through infrared lighting, xbox controllers work differently. i might not be dude to an xbox/ controller problem, try using your tv regularly, see if it turns off like when you play xbox. if not
then it could be due to wiring problem check if the wires are plugged in right, or maybe a friend with the tv remote is playing a prank on you
