Problem with Mic Audio on Twitch App for Xbox series s

Thank you for your assistance.

We solved half of my problems. My audio is now streaming to twitch. However, game chat is not. Last week on I was able to stream my mics audio AND my IN GAME chat audio to twitch directly from my Xbox series S, meaning my PC and Playstation party mates audio was making it into my stream.

That is not happening now. Slightly less frustrating but still quite.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with streaming on Twitch with your Xbox X. There are a few possible reasons why your mic is not working properly. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:



- Make sure your headset is compatible with Xbox X and Twitch app.

- Check your audio settings on your Xbox X and make sure your mic is enabled and the volume is adjusted. You can do this by going to Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories > Xbox Wireless Controller > Volume.

- Check your audio settings on your Twitch app and make sure your mic is enabled and the volume is adjusted. You can do this by going to Settings > Audio > Microphone.

- Try unplugging and plugging back your headset or using a different headset to see if the problem persists.

- Restart your Xbox X and your Twitch app and try streaming again.

We understand that you're having trouble with your mic audio on the Twitch app for Xbox Series S. This can be frustrating. Let's see and check on this together in a timely manner.



Before we proceed, I will be asking you few questions to help us isolate the issue we have:

• Was this working before?
  
• Does the issue presented when using Twitch application?
  
• Have you ever tried using another headset device? To help isolate the issue.
  

In the meantime, let's check if your headset is properly connected to your Xbox Series S. Please make sure that your headset is securely plugged into the controller's 3.5mm jack or the Xbox Wireless Controller if you're using a wireless headset.

Note: You can skip the steps you have done.



Next, let's check if your headset is set as the default audio device on your Xbox Series S. Here's how:



1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

2. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output.

3. Under Headset audio, select Headset format and make sure that it's set to Stereo uncompressed.

4. Under Headset mic, select Volume and make sure that the volume is turned up.

5. Under Headset mic, select Mic monitoring and make sure that it's turned on.



If your headset is already set as the default audio device and the mic audio still isn't working on the Twitch app, let's try resetting the app. Here's how:



1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

2. Go to My games & apps > See all > Games.

3. Highlight the Twitch app and press the Menu button on your controller.

4. Select Manage game & add-ons > Saved data.

5. Highlight the Saved data on console tab and press the A button on your controller.

6. Select Delete all to delete the saved data for the Twitch app.



After resetting the app, try streaming again on the Twitch app and see if the mic audio is working properly.



If the issue still persists, you may want to try using a different headset or using the headset with another device to see if the microphone is working properly.

After that, restart your console. Fully shut down your console by holding the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds, then unplug the power cord for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and turn on your console.

If the issue persists, try reinstalling the Twitch app on your device.

If these steps don't work, it might be worth reaching Twitch support for further assistance.
