    Problem with kinect V1


    Hello,

    I can't find the documentation of the SDK 1.8 for Kinect for windows.

    On the developer toolkit browser, it's impossible to see the documentation because it's refer to the website of Microsoft but on the site there's no documentation.

    It is possible to get a version offline ?

    8+ feet? My living room is too small for Kinect. How about you?

    i had max of 6 feet with kinect v1 and I could use it fine.

    Apparently Kinect v2 has more vision than the v1 so it should be easier to work.

    An actual serious/legitimate kinect question

    Just saying, kinect v1 voice controls are 100 times better than motion controls for netflix

    Hi Nate,

    I did some research and came to the conclusion that SDK v1.8 is not compatible with Windows 10 although you can try running the program in Compatibility mode and check if it works. Refer the link below.

    Kinect for Windows SDK v1.8

    Install the program in compatibility mode.

    You may try to install the programs in compatibility mode:

    1. Right click on setup file.

    2. Click on Properties.

    3. Click on Compatibility tab.

    4. Put a check mark on Run this program in compatibility mode for.

    5. Select Windows 8.1.

    6. Put a check mark on Run this program as an administrator under Privilege Level.

    Sorry for the late reply, ive been working non stop.

    I was adding my devices and everything was working fine, I was seeing the device image (xbox launch, original xbox etx) until I added the Kinect v1, then I started getting the error again, but I was able to add

    Xbox (original)

    Xbox 360 Pro

    Xbox One Kinect

    the device that suddenly caused the error is the following

    Kinect v1

    compared to before where anything other than an xbox one would cause the error, it slowly getting improving.
