Problem with June 2017 update download

Hi,

I encounter difficulties with June update of the game on Windows 10. After 15 GB of downloaded Gears of War 4 data from almost 30GB patch the game started downloading from the beginning and did it again and again, and again and never
finished. I had a lot of free space for that update, even for another copy of full game. I also reset Windows Store. Nothing worked. My SSD where the game is installed is in very good working order. So I decided to uninstall game and tried to download whole
data again, but the game stopped download after 50GB of data and I'm seeing now that GOW4 is downloading the game again from the very beginning. What's wrong with Your game and Window Store Dear Microsoft??? My network connection is very slow (2Mb/s ADSL)
so downloading this huge game is a challenge for me and it also generates higher cost of the energy, because of error with download process and starting it again without any chance for successful end. There was no problem with Xbox One version of the game
on the same network. I hadn't any problems with downloading Forza Horizon 3, all add ons and updates and with Forza Motorsport 6 Apex on Windows 10. Help me!! And sorry for weak English

Sorry to hear about the download issues on the Windows Store, is your copy of Windows 10 fully up to date? Have you tried uninstalling the game fully (including any add ons) and then re-installing the game to see if the issue persists? Do you see any error
messages or error codes when the download restarts?

thank You for Your answer. W10 is up to date. The game was uninstalled fully, I've got basic game without any add ons. I did not noticed any error messages, error codes. Maybe something was showed but I wasn't present at the desk with the computer at that
time. Maybe there are some possibilities to find logs from Windows Store? One thing I can say moreover, that I had two folders with Microsoft.SpartaUWP during each update of the game with lower and higher number of game version and with different size of each
folder and after each update folder with older version of GOW 4 was automatically deleted. With the last problematic update I noticed that after starting download again, files of unfinished download were removed each time. The same scenario was played a few
times, so it was pointless to wait with hope that game will be patched successfully some day. I decided, as I wrote in the 1st post, to make new install/download of the game. Now during that I have only one folder Microsoft.SpartaUWP_10.3.0.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.
So, as I also wrote originally, the game downloaded 50gb of files and suddenly WS started to display download progress bar from the beginning and it's about 22 GB on my ssd currently. It seems like WS started new installation without informing on it (situation
similar to the problematic update). The folder with game has size of 72 gb so it seems to be a mix of earlier saved 50Gb and current 22Gb of downloaded files of the new installation of Gears of War 4. I do not know if Windows Store splits progress bar information
and if yes why shop does that? I stopped current download because I need my bandwidth for other things, but when the network will be free I resume download and see if there is a problem and will inform.

Thanks for the details, is the SSD you're using an external drive? Do you have the ability to install to a different hard drive and see if that works? I'm wondering if maybe the drive is corrupt or is having a problem that would cause the download to restart.

Hello after long break,

my ssd was in very good condition checked with a few diagnostic tools, i.e.: hdd tune, samsung magician, windows system tools, cristal disk info and others. All apps said that everything is in very good with my ssd. After another failure of download I decide
to take my pc to my friend and check with his 100Mb/s network and yes game was downloaded without any issue. So I assume that windows store has problem with networks with low bandwidth like mine (2Ms/s), because I saw today that last Halo Wars 2 10Gb update
also stopped after 2 GB and returned to the beginning. Halo Wars is installed on other ssd also in very good condition. Others clients/shops with digital games for download like Steam, Origin, Uplay, GOG Galaxy, Epic game Launcher or Blizzard regardless of
size of the files download all games and updates without any issue. I think WS store and low bandwidth don't work great together maybe because of files encryption of games, so it's shame for many users that haven't got any chance for fast connection due to
their location and poor network infrastructure there and they meet similar problems to mine.

I see one that says June 6 2017 (06\06\2017) and another one that says August 6 2017 (08\06\2017) but nowhere do I see June 22 2017 (06\22\2017). Looking at that, you're under a ban until August 6 2017.
