    problem with internet explorer on xbox one


    For some months now i have been having a problem with this app (internet explorer). When i try to start it all i get is the wirley circle in the centre of the screen. Ive tried unpluging re booting both xbox one and internet cable conection to no avail.
    When i look in my apps/games and click the menue button there is no option to uninstall the app like there is for all other apps and games. Also when i look in apps to re download the app it is not there. It gives me the option to search for the app but internet
    explorer is not working so i cant. The only way i have in the passed fixed this is by doing a factory reset but has you can imagine this is a pain. The app then works for a day or two then goes back to the wirly circle. Any one familier with this problem and knows
    how to fix it help would be apreciated. I am particulery curious has to why it cant be uninstalled and does not appear in apps to be redownloaded. TIA

    Connecting through modems that require online verification

    My internet works perfectly fine. The issue I have is that when I connect, on any device, I must open the internet explorer and 'accept the terms and conditions'. This is a problem with xbox because it claims that I must be connected to xbox live to use
    the internet explorer. On my internet settings, I have to use the internet explorer to connect to the internet. Can anybody help?

    I know it will likely run faster/smoother because of the new hardware - what I'm referring to has more to do with the features. For example, I always figured you couldn't watch videos on the Xbox 360's version of IE because it would undermine the whole point
    of having partnerships with so many video apps on the Xbox 360. If that's the case, do you think that limitation, along with others, will still carry over onto the Xbox One? Why or why not? Discuss.

    Hey there Skawng!

    I'm sorry to hear about the Internet Explorer app issue you've been experiencing. If you haven't already, I suggest giving these troubleshooting steps a shot:

    1. Power cycle your Xbox One console.
    2. Once the console is off completely, unplug your power supply from the wall and from your console.
    3. Leave everything unplugged for a few minutes.
    4. Plug your console back in and turn it on.
    5. Check your Network Connection. (Settings > Network > Test Network Connection)
    6. Try launching Internet Explorer again.
    If these steps don't do the trick, please post back and let us know!

    ^ +10 ... excellent post Bryan. These are all its problems for sure.

    There is a great deal to fix. I don't know why MS has the specs for its Xbox One seem so great but Microsoft Edge Browser runs like an old dell purchased from Walmart in year 2000.

    Its quite ridiculous.
    How is this the answer. You know he made another post Microsoft responded with a link to this thread and locked that post. And it would seem that they haven't answered here this is **** I can't even open a party now.
