    Problem with initial setup of XBOX One - again


    I had to replace the harddrive of my XBOX One. The original one just fried.

    I was able to open the xbox, take out the old drive, format the new one, and re-close the box.

    When I start the XBOX it recognized the drive and started the "initial" setup, but the first step is to connect the controller, and the XBOX is not recognizing the controller.

    Any idea of what connector I may have missed or messed up with?

    I tried re-opening the XBOX and verified the connections, but I must have missed one.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Same issue. Apparently Microsoft doesn't want to acknowledge this problem exists. Several times now I have contemplated getting the PS4. Next time I think I will do it. Try calling Microsoft and they tell you to go to forums and see if somebody is willing
    to trade you for a digital copy....hahahaha. Then they tell you that if you buy an xbox one you wont have the problem. Not gonna happen

    Initial setup problem

    Hi all, I just bought Destiny for my 360 and I have made it to the installing screen and nowbits just stuck there not doing anything. It shows the "downloading from xbox games store" with a spinning circle next to it. The other two showed progress circles
    which have already completed. Does anyone know what I can do?

    Hey there AndyC2101 I actually responded to your other thread, but wanted to provide the same guide here just in case.

    I need help with system updates on my Xbox One

    Try updating the console offline and see if that works. We don't recommend using a mobile hotspot for an Xbox Live connection as they are very unreliable and produce errors such as this. Let us know if the guide helps!

    Hello cyberwild360,

    You should have the choice to skip those options until you have been brought to the dashboard for the first time.

    After doing so, you will need to go to "Xbox go to Settings">Networking>Advance Settings and choose Manual
