    hello all,

    I have an Xbox one x and an Onkyo 5.1 receiver. I only get sound out of the front 2 speakers. I switched the Xbox to surround soundin settings and restarted it but that didn't help. Any settings I'm missing in either the Xbox or Onkyo? Any help is appreciated.

    Getting surround sound to work with xbox 360e

    Make sure the AV plug is fully inserted on the Xbox 360 E. A loose connection can cause only one channel to come through.

    .

    Also, are you using the AV cable that was included with the Xbox 360 E for sound, or a separately bought, audio only cable?

    If you could post the TV and surround sound system models could give you better instructions.

    I am on the old dash. You are correct. The record feature seems to be disabled. RB4 is a straight up beta.

    1. No online

    2. No surround sound

    3. Record function disabled

    4. DLC not working properly

    5. Double bass pedal does not work properly.

    Update. I do not get surround sound on any games either. So the surround sound only works on DVD/ bluray. Any ideas?

    Things to try :

    Installing the game.

    If you are using surround sound make sure your centre speaker is working properly.

    Check the xboxes audio settings and make sure it is set to stereo if you don't have surround sound.

    Clearing the Hard drive cache (google 'xbox 360 clear cache' if you don't know how to do this)
