    Problem with geolocked code


    So i purchased a game for a friend as a gift via the xbox store from my console. My friend got the code for the game but upon entering it has found that the code is geolocked.

    a message appears that says to contact the seller for a working code.

    the information im getting about his is conflicting. For one thing the purchasing email i recieved tells me that the code can only be redeemed in the US store which is where my buddy is.

    contradicting that is the fact that upon entry of the code its apparently geolocked? Attached are imaged of the email where it says the code can be redeemed in the US and an image of the error message my buddy is getting.

    So according to your post, your friend is in the US, and you seemingly bought an US code.

    Is your own account US-based?

    If you and your friend are both in the US with US accounts, it should work. So I'd suggest you and your friend both contact the official support via
    https://support.xbox.com/contact-us and have them look at the situation.

    To effectively clarify this issue, you need to contact Microsoft support directly via chat so that they can help you.

    Discord gamepass redeem codes are region specific they are only redeemable in eligible regions

    Not all regions qualify for them

    What is your physical tegion?

    Physical region is Austria. If it doesn't qualify why does Discord offer it in the first place? They can detect my IP and country of origin and then give the codes to qualifying countries or whatever is the reason that Microsoft exludes Austria....
