Problem with cross-play

We want to remind users that you can only invite players to your game if they have a gold subscription on their console, and if you're using the Microsoft store and not from another digital retailer as they wouldn't be compatible. Thank you.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. Here is a guide to check cross play, were you able to look at the
privacy and online settings? We will give you the
steps to change the exact ones for the cross platform use.

1. You will go to the Xbox websiteand sign in.
   
   
   
   
2. Once signed in, click your picture top right corner go to Xbox profile.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on privacy settings.
   
   
   
4. Once in settings, under the picture see Privacy, Xbox One/Windows 10 online safety. Select the Xbox one/Windows 10 online safety.
   
   
   
   
5. You will see you gamertag you are looking for one setting:
   
   
   
   
6. The two you want to make sure say allow and everybody are:
   
   1. "you can play with people outside of Xbox live" set to allow
      
      
      
      
   2. Now click on privacy you are looking for one setting:
      
      "you can communicate outside of Xbox live with voice and text" set to allow

have the excatly same problem and that doesnt help. Please advise. We bought this game to play together with friend and not for solo play. Setting here with 5 people and cant play...

Hi!

First of all Sony does not allow cross-play with other platforms. The problem then is related to different servers, so managing everything would still be hard work. It is not a problem of MS but of Sony that must allow cross-play...

My other sons have a playstation 4 and a Nintendo Switch and they can play cross platform without any problems. I also do not understand that cross platform playing would be more of a risk then only play on the same platform.
