Problem with cancelling subscription

I forgot to cancel my subscription and auto payment. And today I received a massage "subscription renewal error", because I haven't got enough money on my debit card. So, now, i have indebtedness and i can't cancel subsciption. How can I cancel subscription
if I don't want to renew it.

How do I change my subscription from family gold to regular gold?

Hi, cancelling the family pack is achieved in the same way as cancelling a regular gold membership.

Ok, in the defense of the individual who works full time (since I do so as well), they suggest you be IN FRONT OF YOUR CONSOLE TO CANCEL. Sorry, I'd get fired if I brought my Xbox360 into my place of business. What if my console had been stolen?

I have had accounts with multiple MMORPGs (Everquest, Rift, DAoC to name a few) none have required me to call anyone in order to cancel my subscription. My cable bills, my electric bills, my auto insurance, my internet.. etc.. have not required me to call
in order to cancel a subscription. The music played from Microsoft support is awful, not the normal elevator music I am accustomed to - It sounds like mariachi music.

5pm on a Wednesday evening I waited 15 minutes on the nose for a response, customer support spoke english fluently and fine and even agreed that he would prefer Xbox Live provide automatic renewal cancellation via the internet. Your options are as follows:
Move to Illinois or the UK where it is illegal to bar someone from cancelling automatic renewal by the same method it was initated, call customer support and wait the necessary time, or contest the payment with your credit card/Paypal. Good luck.

If everything is fine but you still can not cancel the subscription then it's best to contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat and they should be able to assist you in cancelling the subscription (and refund if available).
