    Hello, I have a problem with canceling the Xbox Game Pass Subscription and a refund.

    From many, many other forum posters' experience it seems pretty clear that cancelling auto-renew does
    not remove the rest of your subscription.

    The complication is that you still can't remove the credit card details from your profile until the subscription ends, so if somebody insists on having their payment details removed immediately, then yes, Support will cancel your current subscription in order
    to do that. Having not done it myself, I'm not sure how insistent you need to be about getting your redemption code to re-add your remaining months of Live. It should be routine, but I know things can go wrong... of course, the forums make me think that more
    than half of all gamertags have invalid or expired email addresses attached to them, which would make it hard for Support to send the codes. (It seems like they only give you that code if you had more than 1 month remaining, which makes sense if 1-month codes
    are the shortest they have.)

    to be sure please see this link for the steps on how to cancel a subscription:

    https://support.xbox.com/billing/xbox-subscriptions/how-to-cancel-xbox-subscription

    If there currently is a payment due then this needs to be sorted first.

    If everything is fine but you still can not cancel the subscription then it's best to contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat and they should be able to assist you in cancelling the subscription (and refund if available).

    I managed to contact the customer support office, and unfortunately, the subscription cannot be undone.
