Problem with ad hanging up preventing the game from loading

I can understand how an ad like that not going away could definitely be aggravating. Seeing as the games that you listed are categorized as Microsoft casual games, I would totally see if you can post at

their forums for little more defined support.

For this you can try:

Switching network environments:

There are times when even though your internet connection is of good quality, some services are blocked or disabled in your network due to the configuration you can connect your device to your phone hotspot and check if the problem persists, this will be good to check if the problem is occurring in your home network environment.



If the problem persists, try contacting Hooked Inc customer support to report your issue and ask for help.

It's actually not an update issue. Something was preventing it from loading the sign in screen and dashboard. My xbox is up to date. I eventually solved the problem but had to format my hard drive so lost all my games and game saves but it sorted the problem.
The issue of the xbox not loading seemed to occur after it crashed whilst using the Absolute Radio App.
