    Problem to launch Sea of thieves on microsoft store


    Hello everyone,

    I bought Sea of thieves (to play on pc) on the Microsoft Store with my Microsoft account, then I created a Xbox live account.

    Each time I want to launch the game on PC, I got this message (please see picture below)

    Translation (I'm french !) : "You have to be connected on Xbox live to play Sea of Thieves. Connect yourself then try again"

    The problem is that I'm connected on the account. I tried to go on the internet Xbox live to launch the game. It says that I bought the game, the same on the Microsoft Store.... But nothing works !

    Please, help me ! It turns me crazy for a week.

    How to redeem Microsoft Reward codes in Steam?

    sign into the xbox store with the same microsoft account linked in the game then redeem, they will be added to the account and available next time you launch sea of thieves.

    From my research from looking on sea of thieves support forum it does seem your not alone with your issue, people are stating its due to servers being overloaded and random error messages are being displayed to multiple users like yourself.

    Indeed, Ididn't have ther Xbox PC app..... The french message was talking about "connecting to Xbox live account" and didn't mention that it was the "app" so I went on the internet Xbox live and I was looking for a way to "mutualize the Xbox account and
    Microsoft"! It was turning me crazy!

    So thanks a lot, finally, I can play the game!
