    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. If you would like to cancel your Xbox subscription, as previously recommended by our Ambassador, you may do so from your Microsoft account. If there is a past due balance, then our would need to
    pay that amount prior to cancellation. Please be sure to log in with the same email address and password as your Xbox profile/account.

    How to cancel your Xbox subscription

    if you want to cancel your xbox live gold please sign into your Microsoft.com account but if you mean you were given live without paying for it you will need to request a call back.

    These sort of outages do occur from time to time on both XBL and PSN. Good luck with the 3 months of free gold. i'm sure we will all be credited for lost time if it's a major outage.
