    Problem starting Microsoft Games


    Hello,

    I´ve play The Other Worlds (GamePass Ultimate ~09/2020) for about 14h without any Prblems. Then, crash to desktop and I´m unable to restart the game. Tried it again and then I´ve restarted the pc. The game is still not starting. I´ve tried the desktop button
    and in the MicrosoftStore. So I´ve deinstaled the game using "uninstall" in "Apps" and reinstalled the game after a reboot. The game is still not starting. Try to google. Deinstalling the game like before and I deleted the savegame folder. Reboot, reinstalled,
    still not starting. So I´ve tried other Games like State of Decay 2, Hellblade or the Forza´s - no game wants to start. :-( Is it possible to delete/uninstall the whole MicrosoftGames folder...??? I don´t want to format the ssd, cause there are also a lot
    of working non-microsoft games. thanks for every hint.

    Sorry to hear it. Please try the steps listed below.

    • Known Issue: Some users having the game crash when launching on Windows 10.
    • Workaround: This may be because they game was pre-downloaded early on in the pre-order time frame and the PC was not set up for auto-updates. To resolve this, you will simply need to make sure your game is updated by going to the Store app
      and clicking on the "...". Next click on "Downloads and updates" and then click "Get updates". Update The Outer Worlds if there is an update showing.

    Hey Anton, that's very odd!

    Try this please.

    Turn off the console.

    Remove the power cable from the Xbox.

    Wait 15 seconds.

    Plug the cable back in.

    Reboot the console.

    Try to play the game.

    Let me know if it works! :)

    I would advise clearing the cache, but as you have done this procedure, I advise you to uninstall and install again.
