    Problem scratching off code for free game


    I Purchased Xbox one and it came with 1 free game out of 4 to pick from. Well when I went to scratch the code to get the free game! Only 6 out of 16 numbers/ letters came out clear. So I found where I can talk to somebody thru chatting with them. I told
    him what the problem was and asked me to send a pic of card with the code on it, well after 6 or 7 try's he finally got the pic I sent him. So after spending around 45 to 50 minutes chatting with him. He tells me that I scratched it to hard and there is nothing
    Xbox can do!!! That's the must ridiculous thing I ever heard of, it's a free,game and nothing else!! So I am taking back my xbox and change it out for a PlayStation that come with a game that don't have to be downloaded from site!!! Thanks Xbox for nothing
    and wasting my time!! Like I said it a game and you guys think nothing of your customers !!!

    Thanks, that was the problem. There is a large scratch-off area that contains the codes and when I started scratching and saw the first code I assumed that was the one. Thanks for the help.

    Game code ripped off

    i just purchased the xbox one halo 5 edition. While scratching the code for the game I decided to rip off the sticker.. now I have a partial code. What do I do, or who do I call to solve this problem. Thank you

    I have exactly the same problem, my son scratched the silver panel off and scratched the first part of the code off, there is a bar code & number on the card so surely this can be retrieved???

    Hey JapanNoFurenchy,

    Be sure to scratch off the entire card, as the both codes are on one card. If you completely scratch off the card and confirm there are no codes on the card, the next step will be to contact Amazon to explain the issue and request an exchange. Unfortunately
    we are unable to replace codes that are included in Xbox One console bundles.

    Okay so the dude jmw talked to was actually more knowledgeable on this issue! I don't know if it's the same for anyone else. So apparently on the scratch off card there are two codes, one for the game itself and another DLC. He scratched off the middle assuming
    that was the code, but it was the DLC code and the actual game code was scrunched up at the top where he didn't scratch it off. He feels dumb, but it's downloading now!
