Problem purchasing 12 month EA Access subscription.

Hello,

I am trying to purchase the 12 month subscription to EA Access on my Xbox One, however when confirming the payment I get an error message displaying "Something went wrong". After a few hours of messing around I contacted customer support and she advised
that the EA servers were down, and to try again in 1 hours time. I wandered over to the EA website and found a guy in the forums having the same issue, EA's response was that Microsoft were responsible for the billing side of things.

I have tried several times to purchase it, but still with no luck. Out of curiosity I tried purchasing the 1 month subscription to see if that would work, and it did. So my guess is that there is an issue with the 12 month payment option.

If anyone could please help me I would really appreciate it.

EA access code redem problem

After purchasing EA 12 month access I'm having problem with code redeem.

I have this problem too.. Can't redeem 12 month LIVE and 1 month EA Access..

 

Sorry to hear it. Although the payment system goes through Xbox it is EA that dictates how payment is to be made. If the yearly purchase offer is not currently working for you then keep an eye out at your local gaming stores for a one year subscription
card. If they aren't available now they should be soon.

I have the XBOS1005 error code with 12 month subscription. It said something to do with the region, but my microsoft account region is set to UK and thats where the code is for but it still does not work.

 

GytisK - you say your region is set to UK but is that where you physically live? If not then that may be the issue that you are experiencing.

 

There seem to be lots of people experiencing the same problem. I can purchase the 1 month subscription, but not the 12 month subscription. I don't know if this is an XBox or EA issue, but I hope they get it fixed soon. I'll pay $30 for a year, but not
$60.

 

According the the EA Livechat "Advisor" this is a Microsoft issue and they aren't that interested in getting it fixed because people are buying the 1-month subscription essentially at double the price so it's more money for them. Seeing as the Xbox One Store
is the ONLY place where you can buy this, I think it's wrong that we are being passed back and forth between EA and Microsoft without resolution of this. Somebody needs to man up and take responsibility for this and provide us with credit for being forced
to spend double the money we would normally would.

 

its the same way Amazon works with 3rd Party Traders.

you purchase on MS store, but still ist a ea product so ea recieves the Money for it.

I have spoken with both Microsoft and EA. According to EA, Microsoft are the ones responsible for the billing side of things. So for me it is down to Microsoft to fix this issue for us, as Kodewulf and many others have stated, we are being charged twice
as much for something we can ONLY purchase on the Microsoft Xbox Live Store.

Please Microsoft fix this issue. Do Microsoft read these forums?

 

Same issue here, time to get your acts together EA and Microsoft. Either make the app work properly or remove it.

People have called MS support and nothing could be done, with MS saying it's an EA issue. Somebody is making money from this at the expense of consumers. Not fixing the issue and giving people the run-around by placing blame elsewhere is not only highly
unethical, but probably also legally sketchy.

 

I had this issue, but it now seems to be resolved.

I ended up buying a months subscription, then stopping the repeat payment.

EAHub was recently updated so I tried the 12 month again which now works.

However!.

My month subscription was due to end on the 25th November, and my 12 month one has only done 12 months from the date of purchase.

Can I get my 12 month one to start from the end of the month subscription. otherwise, not only have i paid more for a month, but I will be paying for part of that month twice. Is this the right place to raise this?
