    Problem installing a game from the Microsoft Store.


    Hello! I bought the xbox ultimate pass and when trying to download the GolfIt game I get the error || Code: 0x80070422 ||, I know that another thread was opened with this same error but none of the solutions shown have worked for me, and I do not know if
    they will refund the money or solve the error. Thank you!

    I have Windows Update enabled.

    Game pass for PC bugged.

    The problem is in the microsoft store. The Xbox app cannot see ms store. You will run all the games you have installed, but you will not download the game and application from ms store.

    Try to install it from the Xbox app, if you don't have the Xbox app installed on your pc, install it from the Microsoft store.

    - If that doesn't solve the problem you will have to contact game support as this is not supposed to be happening.

    I am also having this problem with Grounded.

    I am constantly getting problems with gamepass/windows store games.

    I never get problems with Steam/Origin/Ubisoft/GOG games. Occasionally with Epic.

    Sick of so frequently getting problems with GamePass/Microsoft Store games, especially considering they created the DAMN OPERATING SYSTEM!

    If the files weren't installed to a hidden location, I would be able to troubleshoot this better!

    Microsoft, what is the point of doing what no other storefront platform does, and deny me access to the files.

    GamePass would be awesome if it actually worked!!!!!!!!!

    Edit: I had to install XBox Console Companion from the Windows Store, and launch the game from there.

    Apparently Microsoft uses a really hacky form of DRM compared to other storefront platforms, hence the need to install 3(!?) different types of software to run different games.
