Problem installing a borrowed disc

Hey i borrowed a copy of Madden 15 from a friend for a party im having. I installed the game under my id. once i was done it stated i had to switch users to finish install. i only have one user. From everything i have read online i shouldn't have to log
in as my friend on my console whats going on?

Install issues for Gta 5 0x87e00064

I've borrowed Gta 5 from a mate that always installs to 40% then stops with the error code 0x87e00064. I've tried reinstalling, installing offline, installing something else, deleting-powercycling-installing off/online and even cleaning the disc but every
time it's 40%. Looked online and there doesn't seem to be a fix beyond getting the disc changed but that's not really an option and it works on his machine fine. Only time I've had this problem. Any suggestions?

Issues Installing???

I solved my own problem with getting another disc 2 (borrowed my friend's)

And it worked... Something was wrong with my disc I guess :/

Hey chase!

I have never heard of this "switch user to finish installation" message and you should be able to install it from your friends disc fine.

First off, remove the disc and then try the following:

Go into My Games & Apps

Find Madden 15 (If it's not there, ignore the next 3 steps)

Press the Menu button and select Manage Game

Highlight Madden 15 and press the Menu button

Select Uninstall

Now try a power cycle.

While the console is on, press and hold the console’s Xbox button for 5 seconds.

The console will power down.

Wait 30 seconds, and then turn your console back on by again pressing the Xbox button.

Once it has booted up again, insert the disc and try to install it again. Make sure you let it get to 100% before starting it. Hope this works!

If it won't let you install the game, this sounds like it's a problem with the disc...Can you possibly try to borrow the game from a friend to see if it's your disc?

Hey Guinness. Once you've popped in the 2nd disc and installed the dlc, that's all you need to do. You can let your friend borrow the 2nd disc and install the dlc as well with no problems. Yea, this is super cheap... but it'll do the trick.

I've had this problem too. As Cosmic stated, these are some general steps to take, but if you can borrow the disc off a friend, then install it to the hard drive, you should be able to use your scratched disc as verification for the Xbox to run the installed
version of the game.
