problem - folder keeps reverting to "read only"

The only other option I can see is to format your HD and install Windows again. In the "factory default" Windows doesn't have OneDrive folder. So all you need to do is never install and sign in to OneDrive on your PC.

But you'll lose everything you don't have a backup for. So maybe they have a better idea.

Yes, I have already checked it. All files inside also have a "read-only" value. I can't change anything.
