Problem connecting my gamertag to my Xbox.com account

Finally got the problem resolved turns out I had to sign in to xbox.com using my gmail account which is directly linkeed to my gamertag then copy and paste the beta forum link from a different web browser where I was signed in to Microsoft Connect using
this account.

In other words an annoying and confusing solution to a problem that shouldn't exist if the beta forums were kept togeather with Microsoft Connect rather then mixed in with xbox.com.

Also there seems to ongoing issues with trying to log into xbox.com which has made the whole situation all the more frustrating and difficult.

im having the same issue and i can sign into xbox.com but i can not recover my gamertag and i can not connect to xbox live with just this one account

Hey, I have the same problem. When i sign in using my microsoft account on xbox.com it just shows a completely random gamertag that's not mine. But, i can't sign with my gamertag on my xbox as it asks me for my microsoft account, which is somehow attached
to some other random tag!

That can't be it, i never gave anny other email adress, also my gamertag are now on my xbox and on this account the same, it just doesnt link up together for some reason. If i follow the steps on xbox.com/forgot ill have to login first to see such email
account is linked to my gamertag. Wich was the problem in the first place. So i can't double check

I'm having the same problem. I'm also having trouble connecting to xbox.com from my computer and logging into my hotmail account. On the computer if I keep reloading they will eventually connect, but on the xbox I keep getting this error.
