Private Custom Race setup... 1st time to Horizon

Just purchased my first Forza Horizon game and completely disgusted by the complexity of just having a simple custom head to head race with a friend.





A few questions maybe someone can help me with.

1) when starting a private online adventure the host is not given the choice of car? Does the host really have to drive to the H to pick a car before he is able to start a session in order to pick a class?

2) Private Online Adventure I'm not able to vote, chose type of race for the first 4 events? Here's the issue, we would like 4 events setup for say asphalt racing only, no games, no off road. We have to complete 4 events of something random there is no
choice when joining. Every time we are put into something we have no interest in, only after completing these events does a vote come up.. There has to be a way to setup say B class cars asphalt only, street race, circuit or whatever? I cant for the life
of me figure this out?

Since I could not figure out custom private adventure mode I tried free roam.

3) It took sometime but I finally figured out that you have to click on a icon on the map and proceed to get in your car and drive there.

It was cool the first couple of times .. but seriously can't I just race ?

4) In free roam is there any way at all to get a list of circuits or street races asphalt or off road so we can pick an appropriate car before the race?

5) while online do I have to drive to the H in order to change cars? Do I really have to lose 10,000 cr just to switch cars?

Is it just impossible to quickly jump into this racing game and race? I'm just so aggravated with this game.

I want to like this game, the graphics are so good, the speed and control are nice, but where are the custom races for friends?

How can I play two player locally?

Go to setup race. Pick private set the race for 2 and then invite your friend.

 

1st time setup

How long depends on the network traffic and your broadband connection. But yes, leave it updating untill it has finished. It does take a good while.
