    Privacy settings will not save when changed


    With my account I want to be able to broadcast, so I go to my Xbox privacy settings, click on "allow" and then clicked "submit". When the page refreshes after hitting submit, it's still set to "block" and will not change. My account is not a child account
    and I'm an adult. I can't change my privacy settings not matter why try.

    I have an account that EVERYTIME I try to update or allow. Web browsing and do anything privacy settings related it saves but when I go back and check it reverts back to what I originally had to therefore I can't change my privacy settings

    Xbox privacy settings for child account

    Is your son by chance under the age of 13?

    If so, then the privacy settings on the Xbox website are no use, as Epic themselves block accounts from kids under the age of 13. You would have to contact the Epic support, if your kid is able to play other games online, but not Fortnite.

    As for trying different Xbox consoles:

    The online and privacy settings are account dependent, not console dependent. So it doesn't matter what console or PC you use to change the settings.

    However, when you make the changes on his child account on
    https://account.xbox.com/settings     do not change the category (Privacy, Xbox One, Xbox 360) unless you have saved the changes you made on one page.

    So for example, on the Privacy tab, make the necessary changes, and save the settings.

    Then go to the Xbox One/Windows 10 tab, make the changes, and save the tab again.

    Your kid would need to sign out and back in on the console to have the changes take effect.

    Privacy setting will not save.

    The save does not work when i set it to the defaults of child, teen, adult, etc. If I select teen and save and exit, when I return the settings are set to custom as if the save did not take effect.

    Hey MissT!

    Are you trying to change the settings on your Xbox One console or via Xbox.com? If you're trying on your console, try clicking your name in the top right here, and select "Xbox Settings." You should be able to alter your settings to your desired options
    here and then save them again.

    If that doesn't work, try resetting your privacy settings to default and then re-setting them as desired. That should help.
