Discus and support Privacy Settings being turned off/changed to "everyone" in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; I have recently discovered a Discord server requiring its members to open for the duration of their stay in that server their Xbox account privacy...     Privacy Settings being turned off/changed to "everyone"


    I have recently discovered a Discord server requiring its members to open for the duration of their stay in that server their Xbox account privacy settings so that the Discord server moderators can vet them, a means
    to show that the member is abiding to the server's rules. This requirement, although its members voluntarily open their privacy settings for all to see, seems ridiculous, and, to my knowledge, against the Privacy Act and GDPR privacy policies. Is this Discord
    server requirement allowed? If it means anything, I have screenshots of conversations with some members of this server and this server's owner from when I refused to open my privacy settings, if anyone from Microsoft is interested. I don't know if this information
    is desired at all.

    I see, and when did this situation start happening?

    Check that your privacy settings allow communication with everyone. Go to Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox Live privacy. Select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer. From here you can change your privacy settings to allow communication with everyone.

    If it's already configured correctly, change your privacy settings to block communication, then power cycle your Xbox: Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or on your controller.

    Once it's turned back on, go back to the privacy settings and enable communication with everyone. Following these steps should 'refresh' your account's settings and solve any conflicts with the settings.

    If it's still not working, check the in-game settings to ensure voice chat is enabled. Let me know if these steps help.

Select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer, and then make your changes.

    If everything is on "Allow" or set to "Everyone" kindly block all of them then power cycle your console and "Allow" and set to "Everyone" again. This is to refresh your accounts setting.
