price upgrade issues

hi iv been trying all morning to upgrade, and to no avail its charging me full price still, iv contacted MS through various means and i cant get an answer, though tbf they dont speak english very well so they give me a bigger headache than i started with,they
are claiming that multiple people are having the same issue, yet i cant find one post or one forum or twitter post that anyone is having this problem....

can anyone else confirm that they are having issues getting the upgrade price.

Is XBOX ONE marketplace the same from XBOX 360?

Some games offer a free upgrade or reduced price to upgrade to the Xbox One but for the most part they use different programming so are not compatible.

Free Upgrade Games:

Destiny (until Jan 15)

CoD Advanced Warfare (I believe until March)

Free upgrades for already purchased DLC

Minecraft

Rocksmith

Pinball FX2

Reduced price for upgrade

Minecraft

 

Seriously think Xbox One games are to expensive!

High prices in Australia..... People earn more from their jobs their so comparing the UK prices to Aussie prices is a unfair comparison.

Yep next gen game prices are too high at the moment on both next gen consoles, another reason not to upgrade. So many reasons not to upgrade at the moment.

Same issue here. I'm being charged £13.59 even though I already had it for the 360. Any help with this would be great.

 

Do you need to update the 360 version? I did and it worked for me.

 

That's me *** then. I don't have an xbox 360 anymore. I sold it to help fund the xbox one ha! Sods law I guess.

 

Reports are that only those who bought a digital copy are getting the upgrade discount. Rumor is that disc based owners will get the discount soon.

 

Have you all got the disc version or DL version? The discount only appears for those who had the digital version of the game at the moment. Thinking about my previous post. I checked the price before I got home to update and it said £3.99. The update was
for transferring worlds.

 

mine was digital. so thats not the case, and on another forum iv posted on they have disc versions and no issue there either

 

Same here, called them several times today, the head of customer support said hopefully it will be fixed within 24 hours, as that's what the email from the techs said that they sent him that was on 5th sept at around 6pm aest. He also told me to call him
on the 6th at 4pm aest if it still wasn't fixed. If i get any progress or news i will post it here as i find out. im not happy at all

p.s. mine is disc version

 

I'm having the same issue, I'm going to see if I play the 360 version if it will work. I haven't played it in over a year so maybe I just need to refresh it. I'll gladly buy it for $5, but I will not pay full. Not again, this will be the fourth time I've
bought it.

 

May I suggest something. Sign out of this, your online account, go to xbox dot com home page. There is a minecraft picture that says click here to see how much it will cost you, you then sign back in again on your PC, tablet whatever and buy it online.

Worth a try. I just wanted to see how much it would cost me, but it says ive already bought it.

apparently i cant edit my last post... but what i was going to say is, i saw it on my firefox browser for only 5 bucks (what J4Y DEE above me said). when i tried to buy it though, i had to update my security info (which i literally did only a few months
ago), because apparently it didnt save the last time i did.. so now i have to wait 30 days before i can even purchase it.. congrats microsoft, you blow harder than Apple, McDonalds, and WalMart combined..
