Previous Xbox 360 purchase games from XBox One store unable to download on 360 from store...

My Xbox one account is currently linked with a credit card, but I'm still unable to purchase a backwards compatible game from the store on Xbox one. (Or any of them at all currently) The game in question is Soul Calibur 2 HD, and when attempting to purchase
that from the Xbox website it says , "Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox." Is it possible that since this game is only a digital download for the Xbox 360 rather than a disc that
I cannot purchase from the website? Or is it that I do not have an Xbox 360 active anymore?

BC games do not install from the disc, but are downloaded digitally from the store.

Is this a disc or previous digital download for the 360?

Sign in to Xbox Live using the gamertag you used when you purchased the content.

Go to Settings and select Account.

Select Download History.

Browse your download history. To redownload an item, select it, then select Redownload.

So I attempted to do exactly what you said and on my 360 it only shows me purchases made on the 360 that I can download not 360 games that I bought on the Xbox One live store. And if I go to purchase history in my account it keeps telling me it cannot connect to the website even though I have no issues with internet connection I verified everything for some reason this portion is already not functioning so again how am I supposed to download paid Xbox 360 games that I purchased on the Xbox live store on my Xbox one that should most definitely be playable on the Xbox 360. Again the issue is is that it wants me to pay for them again when I've already paid for them but there seems to be a disconnect between my log in which is the same login for the one machine and for the 360 machine. And yet for some reason those titles for the 360 purchased on the Xbox live and installed on my Xbox One are not carrying over to my 360. And since there's still a year out before we don't have support anymore I want to get all these games downloaded so I have them. But I really shouldn't have to pay for them twice. There must be another way to get this resolved any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The store on xbox.com is the digital store, so it would be a digital copy and would download to your console. If you're able to purchase it from xbox.com, you should be able to purchase it from the One as they use the same store.

The in game store on my Xbox one specifically said I can only purchase it from Xbox.com or from a 360. Thank you for your quick reply.
