Prevent random people from adding me as friends/following me.

Everywhere I look online and from speaking with support, this doesn't seem to be possible. The answer is to block the user, change my privacy settings so only friends can see data, etc. It's great to have that, but it isn't a solution. Why does a user
have to go out of their way to manually block every random person who wants to friend them when it would be so easy to simply not let them add the user in the first place? Is this the standard anywhere else? It seems like such an obvious design flaw, I don't
see how Microsoft has left this as is for YEARS.

I don't think this a solution at all, but Microsoft clearly does. So here's my question to Microsoft. If I can prevent unwanted followers from communicating with me, seeing any of my data, etc., what is the point of letting them add me as a friend?

Thanks, I'm aware of the page. There's no way I'm the first person who would be submitting this, so Microsoft has already decided not to approve this change. Yes, I'm complaining about it. No, I don't expect Microsoft to fix it. I'm going to implement
my own fix, which is 'don't buy Microsoft consoles anymore.'.

Please let me know if there is ever a real solution.

Hello There,

With the privacy settings enabled, there are still certain ways for people to add you unfortunately. Like looking under recent players, this shows all players you have interacted with recently. There is not a way to totally block this feature entirely. The
reason being is it is set up so that others can add people they may want to play with and group with. Imagine if there was no way to add people totally and everyone used. There would be no parties, groups, to play games.

Xbox ideas, as post a suggestion there. If they approve the suggestion it can then get voted on.

I appreciate you trying to help, but I already had my settings locked down and poeple are still finding and adding me. No amount of controls to block content for people make it acceptable that I can't stop them in the first place.

I'll take a look at that opinion site, but it's a flawed design and it should be changed. People are complaining everywhere but we're being ignored.

Leave that as is, but when someone adds me as a friend, require my approval before letting them add me. You can still do all the things you mentioned. And don't forget, there are plenty of people like myself who aren't interested in playing with other
people online. These 'features' are just a pain in the butt for us.
