Pressed incorrect save data location

I accidentally pressed use save data on cloud rather than this device when loading football manager on my laptop with windows, I tried to find a way to get the option again so I can change it back to this device but have had no luck, how should I get the save data back to the ones stored on my device?

I understand you need help in getting your data back from the device.

Just a heads up that this only happens when you are trying to play the game with separate data and once you choose the cloud option, that will override what you had on your device. Unfortunately, that cannot be reverted because it has already overwritten the data you have on your device once you choose the option to load the data from cloud.

That's incorrect. Your save data is separate from the install. Deleting the install doesn't delete your save data.

As FearedNightmare explained, all your saves and data is stored online in the cloud as well as on your storage drive. If you still feel that you need extra protection of your data you can always keep a backup of your saves on another external drive that
is used solely for that purpose. Having data on multiple locations is always a good way to keep it protected. I could suggest checking out WD My Passport X as an option for this:

Save data for the Xbox One is actually saved on both the harddrive and the cloud, if you move all your content to an external drive it should be moved to that drive as well but the cloud data stays where it is.

If however you should lose your local save data, the next time you boot up the game it will ask you to upload local data or download your save from the cloud. When you click download you will have a copy as local data again as well as cloud based.

Thank you for this answer. I am somewhat concerned that the FAQ states that "if you're an avid gamer, you may run out of Cloud space", but at least I understand the system now.

Obviously losing my save data for ESO (400 hours approx) would be a bad thing, so I need to keep everything in check.

Oh, and it doesn't actually say where my save data is being stored (I think I said this in my original post). So, even when I choose to "Copy All" to my External HDD, I have no idea if it has actually moved across. Something that should probably be modified
in a future update imo.
