Pre ordered Hogwarts Legacy, wrong card was used, can't re order

I pre ordered Hogwarts Legacy, a week or so ago, when they finally charged my card it was declined because of the wrong card. I tried to go back and re pre order, but it tells me I already own it. Also tried uninstalling it, and re ordering, and it was a no go. I want to get it pre order for the bonuses and the early access! Am I missing something?

Look for the transaction you made for the game there.

If the status is declined, it means that the system was not able to collect payment from the payment method. The system will only try to charge your card 10 days before the release date of the game. We will have to wait for the next few days, the system should try charging the payment method that was used for the pre-order.

If you would like to change the payment method for it. Sign in to your account on the link that I have provided, find the pre-ordered game, and select "Change how you pay."

I checked my bank and there’s a transaction for $60 on 12/5/22 and hogwarts legacy was the only game I pre ordered/paid for at that time for that price but when I went to Xbox transaction there’s no payment for hogwarts legacy it’s like I never pre ordered/paid for it

Thanks for reaching out to the Xbox forums. We understand there may be some frustration regarding the refund, however you should be able to pre-order again. There may have been an issue if you were trying to pre-order the same exact version of the game, as some changes were made.

Are you using the Xbox Series X/S console as well?

What happened when you tried to install the game?

Please try to manually search "Pre-order" in the Store if you can find the game to install to your console.

There's no upgrade option available for that game. You'd just have to cancel your current preorder and then preorder the deluxe edition.
