Pre-order payment failed

there is no money to return to you, what you saw was a test charge on your account, that evaporated in a few days

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Is the game not yet released? If yes, we just need to change the payment method or let Microsoft get the money again. I have here steps from Microsoft:

"We tried to collect a payment that was unsuccessful. If you don’t want to lose your pre-order or any incentives, follow the steps in the message you received, or the steps below:

1. Sign in to your account and go to your order history.

2. Find the pre-ordered game and select Change how you pay.

3. On the Pick another way to pay screen, you can either choose a different payment method, or add a new one.

If you don’t have another way to pay, we’ll try to collect payment from your payment method again before the game launches. Your pre-order will be canceled if this is unsuccessful."

With regards to pre-ordered games, yes you are correct it will try to charge you again for the second time. Not sure as to when but based on Xbox website, it will be a few days after the first charge attempt failed.

Since you mentioned you have enough balance on your card, I suggest to still double check since some games on the Xbox store will still apply a tax aside from the original price so best to have enough amount to cover the tax as well. Not sure how the tax is being calculated but based on my experience I just make sure there is at least a dollar or 2 extra on my account so I can make sure the charge will went through.

This is what it says via Xbox page: All pre-orders typically charge customers 10 days before the game release date. This means that you'll need to have a valid payment option on your account at least 10 days before a game release to avoid any billing issues. After a charge on your account has failed for a pre-order, there will be another attempt at a charge a few days later. If that second attempt fails to successfully charge, your pre-order will be canceled, and you'll need to repurchase the desired game again after you have added a valid payment option to your account.

hello ben, i’ve been in the worst spot possible i’ve been to the bank tried to call microsoft they said they won’t do a double charge since my pre order says “preorder failed” on the website but it is still chilln on my xbox and says it’s pre ordered……. since i accidentally.

said no on the text my bank send me will they still charge me again. pray to god they do

Can I get my money back then
