Powerline Adapter Double NAT error.

I just received my TP-Link AV1000 powerline adapter in the mail last night and I went to go plug it into the xbox after pairing them and whatnot and I received a Double NAT error. I went on to test out a couple games to see if unwired play was worse than
wired play and it seemed about the same. Do I just ignore the Double NAT error or do I look for some kind of fix for this?

I never had an Double NAT until i plugged in the powerline connector and when I unplugged it and connected via wifi, it went back to Open NAT. So I’m positive the powerline connector is causing the NAT error. That being said, I have not had any problems
with online multiplayer games since going wired.

You need to check the stats on the powerline adapters and see if they are doing NAT too. Like the other poster said it is really doubtful that they are doing NAT. Those are typically used just to extend the network signal from the router.

Double NAT is typically caused by having more than one piece of networking equipment that does NAT such as a modem/router from your service provider, then having your own router connected to it. I would assume the powerline adapter is not doing NAT and it
something else in your networking equipment. The main issue with double NAT that you will run into is that you may run into issues playing/connecting to multiplayer games online.

You will be "double natting" because the Actiontec is running NAT and so is the Apple Express, two routers = trouble

If the wireless distance is an issue have you considered powerline adapters instead?
