    Power supply specs for XBOX accessible controller


    I need an external AC power supply for an XBOX accessible controller, but the MS store does not ship this item to Canada. I'm trying to source a third party supply. I know it's a 5V DC 2A center positive supply, but don't see the plug dimensions listed
    anywhere. Does anyone have the specs or a lead on a good supply? The PGP one isn't available in Canada.

    Here in the UK we are on a 240v mains supply. It is possible to buy a step down transformer but since the output voltage of both UK and US Xbox power bricks is the same (12v DC) I would personally just buy a new power brick once you are here.

    Well if an MOD can tell me I can post specs on the power supply I would be more than willing to post the specs so everyone would know. Since the NDA has been lifted in wondering if I can post it. But I'm afraid of getting in trouble and banned or worse from
    Xbox. So if a MOD or Xbox person that has control on what is/can be posted send me a pm or post i can or can't post the specs it will be helpful.

    12 volt 16.5 amp power supply with a 12 volt 12.1 amp console.

    To simply answer your question, yes. That would supply too much power and would result in damage to the console. It is recommended that you use the power supply that originally came with your console when you purchased it. (if you are replacing it,
    replace it with a power supply with the same rating and specs as the original one)

    I believe you should stick with the proper specs for the power supply. Try doing a search for Xbox 360S Adapter on ebay or amazon.
