    I contacted Microsoft today over chat to let them know my sons Xbox One Power Supply smells like smoke, is hot and is making a loud noise. I'm somewhat concerned that something is wrong but to my dismay Microsoft told me it is out of warranty. Honestly,
    I don't care if it is out of warranty or not, if this device has some catastrophic melt down I'm going to be blaming Microsoft and their poor customer service. I am so sick of Microsoft and their crappy customer service considering how much I spend on games,
    devices, etc. I guess Microsoft is so big that they don't care about any possible damage due to a faulty product. Huge disappointment.

    Clearing System Cache, does it help with performance problems?

    Black Wolf XCI.. If your Power Brick is too hot to touch & you can smell an electrical smell... Unplug it from the wall + XBOX & call XBOX Phone Support for a replacement.. Seeing how it's about 2 years old.. You might have to pay $35 + P&H for a new one..
    A faulty or near faulty Power Supply, can cause low voltage to the HDD & console Circuitry... [SATA HDD powered straight from power supply circuit]

    The fan on the 360 Slim power supply, can cease with dust & heat up.. You will also hear a loud noise sometimes too...

    This issue can also be mistaken for the consoles optical drive or fan being loud...

    Needs to be replace if this is the case. Nothing to do about it.

    If it has a warranty, it can be replaced. If not, you'll need to buy another one.

    My xbox 360 AC power adapter is making a very bad noise

    Is your power supply in a well vented area?

    I want to think that heat my be an issue with the power supply being loud.

    Another suggestion would be to use a friends power supply and see if it makes the same noise.

    If not could be a faulty power supply.

    MY xbox power supply shows a green light when it is plugged in the wall only (not in the console yet) when plugged in the console too it shows a green light again but here the Xbox doesn't turn on. It's fan only powers on and runs really loud (burning smell

    are you sure or is it a CPU issue what of the burning smell from the console when power supply is connected?
