I am having problems with My Power supply will not power up.

I have disconnected from the X Box One and tried other outlets it will come on and I will unplug it and the Orange light will stay on even when it is Not plugged in . Once I plug the System to it . It will shut off.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

    Thanks

    :)

Can you try plugging it directly in to a wall socket and not use the surge protector?

    Hi

From what you have described it does sound like your power supply has possibly failed however to confirm this I would recommend following the

Xbox Will Not Power on support guide
to confirm this. If your power supply has failed you will be able to arrange a repair/replacement directly from Microsoft through
this web site, If your console does not appear just select Register new device then you should then be able to arrange the repair/replacement of your power supply.

    Power Supply Issues

    Hi,

Yes I have had the same problem since 31/12/13.

I read someone else had the same problem and tried another power supply and this did not fix the problem.

I am now having to send my Xbox One in for repair. If you do this do this ring up the support number rather than doing it online. 0800 587 1102 for UK.

I was using the online system to try and order a new power supply before I read it wasn't a power supply issue and a console issue. The online system didn't charge me for the part but emailed me saying I had to pay for postage to Czech republic. When I rang
up they said this was an error and it was only if you were out of warranty that you have to pay for the postage. The support guy via the phone sorted out free delivery via UPS. They email you delivery labels along with instructions, you have to box up the
console stick the labels to the box then call UPS to arrange a collection.

They said to me it would take 1-2 weeks for them to receive the faulty console check it and return the fix/new console.

I had to use the manual disc eject to get my copy of assassins creed 4 out of the console.

    Hopefully this is of help.

    Solid Red Light on Console

A red or amber light on a power supply is a power supply issue, a red light on a console is not a power supply issue.

Sounds like the power supply is burnt out and may need to be replaced.

No. Don't even attempt using the Xbox 360 PSU on your Xbox One. The use of any accessory other than the standard Xbox One PSU may damage your console and void your console warranty.

You can contact Xbox Support to ask for a replacement PSU or you can process one by yourself through this website:

    Power supply issue

PSUs of both consoles are unique and are designed to be used only with the type of console they came with. Don't try to use a 360 PSU with a Xbox One console or you will damage it.

Just wait until you got the proper PSU for Xbox One. It's better to exercise a little patience now than to put your console out of commission.

    Hi,

If you've already tried everything on this guide here as well as unplugged the power supply and left it off for about 15 minutes, and tried
to use another power outlet then that would mean it's time to get your power supply replaced. You can do so by either
contacting phone support directly, or by visiting the
Microsoft Repair site here (you'd select Start Request > Order Items Now > Select Power Supply from the drop down).
