    I've gone through 3 power supply bricks in the last year on my Xbox 360 slim and was wondering if maybe I'm just buying faulty power supply bricks or if maybe there's something wrong with the console itself that could be causing this issue

    Hi, I have an Xbox 360 that the power supply seems to be failing on. I would like to purchase a new power supply but am having trouble finding one, would a power supply for a Xbox 360s slim be compatible?
    No. The xbox 360 slim power supplies have a completely different connector so those wont work with a normal 360.

    You may have to replace the power supply. If you know of someone with another Slim Xbox 360, see if you can try their power supply.

    You are using the Kinect for a standard 360 not a Slim right?

    If it´s a Slim you do not need to use a power supply for the Kinect.

    If it´s not the Slim you just get a official Kinect power supply and it should work.

    You cant just go plugging in a power supply made for 2006 xbox 360 to a 2010 or 2011 slim because

    1. ALL POWER SUPPLYS FOR DIFFERANT GENERATIONS OF XBOX 360 ARE DIFFERANT

    2.Any other power supply that you plug in (intended for your specific console) will FRY IT
