Power outage during downloading games

Yes, If you get disconnected from Xbox Live or there’s a sudden power outage while installing or updating a game (weather digital or disc copy and internal or external storage), your Xbox console should resume installing from where it left off when able to.

Remember, you can always pause and resume downloads if needed.

If there’s a power outage during a console update however, this can cause problems.

There shouldn't be an issue with it. The 360 had a background download option that would allow it to be turned off while downloading with no issue. I have been turning off my Xbox One console while downloading as well with no problems.

I understand that for downloading. But surely installing is a different issue? The Xbox wouldn't have known or been prepared for the power outage in my case.
