    Power options not working properly


    So I have set the Power options to turn on and off my TV with the Xbox One. This works fine.

    I have now connected my Virgin Media Set top box (Cisco 4585DVB - NOT TIVO) through the Xbox One and want it to do the same. Using the setup guide the box turns off and on OK however when I use it normally the box wont turn off.

    I set both power options for the cable box to Toggle. I don't understand why it works in the setup (so it must have the right IR codes) but not normally.

    Xbox One X Refuses to complete Downloads (and other issues).

    I fixed the power issue. Seems like the power supply was not set in the case very well and I needed to push the cord really hard to get it to fit into the power supply properly.

    The Downloads still are not working properly though, so I have no idea what is happening there.

    Having same issues...had to manually power off and power back on to get this working properly.

    Hey Tecstar70 - can you try something for me? If you set your power options so the TV does "Nothing" but you send Toggles to your Cisco box, does that make it work?

    Hi Kayleigh. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

    I understand how frustrating it must be that you are experiencing issues with your Xbox One S. Based on the steps you've mentioned, it sounds like the console's power supply has failed. Unfortunately, the only option would be getting a new console. Xbox One consoles were discontinued in 2020 and Microsoft is no longer offering out of warranty repairs for these systems. I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

    Go in to settings and select blu-ray. There should be and options in there to adjust how the blu-ray discs are played. If nothing else work you can try holding the power button down on the front of the console until it shuts off then unplug it from the outlet
    for 30sec then plug back in and power back on and hopefully everything will be working properly again.
