    I was cleaning my series x and accidentally damaged my power/eject cable clip, My xbox powers on and ejects but the light on the power button won't turn on. What do I do?

    Unfortunately, this would need to be repaired. This is not a part Xbox deem as user replaceable so won't sell it.

    yea i think i found my issue needs a new ribbon cable apparently even if the power button and disk eject works the pair/sync button can be bad even if its apart of the same cable some how ordered a new one i hope

    Hi there,

    Although we do not condone opening consoles, you seem to be well aware of the warranty situation. Microsoft will not service consoles that have been opened or tampered with.

    My best advice, would be to look on sites like eBay, and to purchase another faulty or spare parts console, to replace the part, maybe even the faceplate only. Send the seller a message and see how you go.

    Depending on the damage, some parts are replaceable, but some aren't. Consulting YouTube for visual guides, would be a wise, before delving in.
