Power brick shuts down randomly

I have been having issues lately regarding my power brick for my Xbox One. It will shut down at random while i am playing a game and around a minute of two, it will turn back on (I always unplug the cord from the brick then plug it back in when it turns
off, making it turn back on).

I am unsure if it has to do with overheating, problems with wiring or simply not having enough power from a bad outlet or something. It seems to happen exclusively when I am on games and sometimes it will work for a long time without shutting down or just shut
down soon after restarting the console.

I have been letting it cool down if it feels really hot, but even so, it will be very inconsistent and shut down at random whilst I am on a game.

So I was wondering if anyone here could tell what the problem may be and how to fix it.

Hey there!

Thank you for responding, If you are still running into this same problem I would advise maybe testing out a different PSU (if available) maybe family or a friend has an original Xbox One and can let you test it out. This would definitely be the easiest
way to determine if replacing the part will fix the issue.

Let us know if this is possible to test.

I would try the other suggested advice and possibly try different outlets, you might want to consider a new power supply cord/block. Here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try.

Hey there!

Sorry to hear you have been running into issues with the Power Supply Unit on the Xbox One. In regards to these issues I would advise that you try some of the basic troubleshooting to test out the PSU.

If everything looks to be working normally try testing out your console on a different outlet around the house to see if this makes any difference.

After playing for around 2 hours, it has shut down once more, working within a minute after doing so.

I am attempting to take the brick apart to try cleaning it, however the rubber parts blocking the screws seem to be stuck in place, making it difficult.
