    Potentially a way to get people to convert to a digital ecosystem


    As I am watching the new reviews of the X and S, I was thinking over the course of the last 2 months. I was curious as to the possibility of taking my physical copies and let's say go into GameStop. From there I pay a small fee to bring my disc and in return and get a digital code. How fast could a program like this happen?

    Move a game on disk to digital.

    The only way to get your disc game working on the "All digital" edition of the Xbox One is to purchase the game digitally.

    It's not possible to "convert" a disc game to a digital game. Otherwise you could buy a disc, convert it to digital, and sell the disc to someone else who would then convert to digital, sell the disc and so on, until the whole world has the game digitally,
    and only one disc was sold.

    So the only way to get a digital copy of your disc based game would be to buy the game digitally again.

    To be honest I've slowly converted to digital, I get people to give my boys money then they buy digital they do it for both xbox and pc. Plus it's better as disks don't get screwed up
