    Hi there,

    I bought Minecraft 10+ years ago and just merged my Mojang account with my Xbox/Microsoft account, but now when I go to install Minecraft Java (which I already own) it will not allow me to play it, saying that I need an Xbox Live sub.

    Not sure what's going on here, but I know for a fact I'm attempting to Install the right one because I have not purchased the Windows 10/PE/Bedrock version. I have Java installed as well, not sure what the dealio is.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    If you have a Minecraft Java Edition, it's not required to have an Xbox Live Gold. Kindly uninstall the Minecraft Launcher then reinstall to fix the issue.

    that bit is the same for xbox if the mmo uses xbl servers. FF mmo could be played w/o a xbl gold sub

    ME3 will not get past "Checking downloadable content"

    The servers are down and it effects the single player also. The only way to play single player atm is to unplug the internet from xbox and sign into your account w/o xbox live. They are working on the problem.

    Same here, I've setup my son with a parent approved Microsoft account and parent approved Xbox Live account. In either case it doesn't let me merge the two.
