    Bandwidth usage tracking.

    This was occurring with older versions of the XBOX OS but has been resolved with the last couple of ASA Insider preview builds. If you are in Insiders it should be fixed as the update is released to the various rings, or hopefully, the next General Availability
    release.

    Was told by a Rockstar representative that this was a Xbox One console issue.

    I had this game since it was released and never had played it online before. Since the last xbox update it refuses to play offline. I may had also updated the red dead redemption 2 game also at the time of xbox one update. I seldom connect to the internet and when I do I update whatever updates which are available at the time.

    No still getting files required to play gta online could not be downloaded from the rockstar game service. And rockstar game service is unavailable right now, even when friends invite me to join gta5 online still getting the same error above this comment.

    That is not possible. The updates are applied online for the simple reason to keep each console updated with the last changes on the games' servers. If you wish to keep your console and your games up to date you need internet connection to perform this.
