Possible to trade in my new & unopened 360 game for credit for same game on Xbox One?

i have an Xbox 360 game that was a gift. havnt gotten around to playing it yet, thus not even opening the packaging yet. dont know where it was purchased either.

wondering if Microsoft or Xbox would accept it in exchange for credit ect. im interested in the same game, but on Xbox One. the game is Dark Souls 2.

i know i could take it gamestop but for what.. 10% what its worth? thanks.

What will you do if you can't play older games on new x-box

Prob trade my old Xbox 360 and games for new Xbox with games pack. Then trade my other games in to make new games cheaper each time.

Not directly, unless the game is unopened and you have your receipt. Gamestop will let you get a refund for an unopened game but if you've opened the game then they will just give you normal trade in value for the game.

 

Microsoft does not have any sort of trade in offer like that.

 

Gamestop or a classified website would be your best bet. Heck, even eBay. But Microsoft themselves, doesn't have any trade in offers.
