Possible RARE Replay software ROM defect

Hello! I'm seriously considering purchasing an Xbox One because of the RARE Replay game that's coming out this August. I also want to make sure to support RARE and this compilation is really great! There's one downside... the only game on the list that has
a notorious bug that makes the game unplayable when playing with 2 players is Battletoads (non Arcade -- NES version).

The US release of this game had a notorious bug that was overlooked and it might be overlooked for this nice compilation. Once 2 players get through the first vehicle segment, the next vehicle segment and subsequent vehicle segments render the 2nd player
immobile and thus unbeatable with 2 players. I know it can be dealt with with updates, but I'm adamant that things should be caught before disc production and as well such a well known issue to be fixed well before disc production. This has been a known bug
for 24 years. I own the US, Japanese, and European versions of Battletoads as well as the Arcace (which has nothing to do with this problem). The Japanese version was made to be easier and had no major bugs but the European version is essentially what the
US version should've been and does not have the issue and is same as the US version (European version was released after the US version and the bug was fixed for 2 player mode). So only the US ROM's have the bad code. Will this be fixed?

I know some people might find this post stupid, but I like my physical media and I like it to work at full and am a quality person. I don't go after virtual games. I'm a retro gamer who has 68 video game systems and about 2,000 video games, mostly well known
and rare games. I'm also drawn to the fact that the Perfect Dark games are on this compilation and am looking forward to replaying them once again.

Rare Replay

I have been thinking about getting this for the last week or so. I never played any of these games. The only games that seem to catch my eye is the Viva Pinata games. Anyways, for someone who hasn't played or heard of these games before, would this be worth
the $30 to get it? 30 games for $30 sounds like a good deal to add more games to my little library. So is this worth it?

Thank you for the information. Most people never got through the first vehicle segment with 2 players simultaneous, and most people only ever played single player. I played through all 3 versions earlier this year and I had to play the EURO version with
my friend so we could play through ALL the levels without warping, albeit we had to use the Retron5 to cheat and use save states because my friend is not of the expertise that I have. The EURO version could only be played naturally on my PAL NES due to different
clockings (video signal not being the problem) and that's what my friend and I used to play all the way through.

 

When I mentioned about the Retron5 and the PAL NES, I actually played on both systems. My friend and I had to switch over to the Retron5 because he could barely get through the first vehicle stage.
