Possible malware or virus

Hello All

I have an Xbox One Day One Edition. Recently, my firewall detected my XB1 trying to visit "sync.bfmio.com" and "sb.scorecardresearch.com". Does the XB1 have a virus or malware? If so, how do I remove? Is there an antivirus/antimalware I can install on the
XB1? This has never happened before and I have used the IE on it less than 5 times a very long time ago. This happened just a few days ago.

The Xbox one can not get malware or viruses on it, but the web browser could have browsed to a website that was "infected" and was designed to look like a virus popping up on the screen - or even just an ad or cookie or some kind of content from a regular
website that can technically be recorded as the xbox visiting it since it got data from it.

There is no antivirus for the console. It could have been a false positive from your firewall. If you are really concerned about it you can perform a
factory reset on the console.

In addition to put your mind at ease, be aware of the following:

1. The Xbox One's O.S is a closed system, it can't run content that is not digitally signed by Microsoft or its affiliated companies. While technically a console could get a virus, it would take so much work to do it, it just wouldn't be practical. In short,
it's far far easier for criminals to go after PC's - especially Windows PCs which can download and install practically anything. An Xbox can't do this.

2. For a virus to work anyway, it has recognise the O.S it was written for. For example, you could visit a website that was known to be infected for PC's on your Android phone, but your Android phone wouldn't get the virus, because the virus was not written
to infect Android devices or any other device other than a Windows PC.

there is no way to scan an Xbox, nor a need. Just clear browser history to remove any tracking cookies
