    Possible hard drive failure?


    For the past 5 months all of my xbox games are freezing during gameplay and have infinite loading screens, in 2 of my games (Apex Legends and Fortnite) the frame rate drops, then all audio cuts out then my entire xbox freezes and i have to restart my xbox.
    I’ve tried everything. I’ve factory reset both ways, power cycled it, checked my internet, clear cashe and all saved data, deleted all accounts and put them back, and nothing works. I don’t know how this has happened and I don’t know if this could be a hard
    drive issue, but any help is apreciated

    Hey!

    If your hard drive is failing, sadly I do not believe so. It would be a physical problem, which would warrant a repair from Xbox as Steven R mentioned.

    Howdy!

    That does indeed sound like hard drive failure. Some sectors that have game-needed data may have failed causing the data to become garbled.

    How long have you had your Xbox console?

    As listed above,
    this     webpage outlines the process of submitting a repair request.

    I believe you can send an Xbox in for repair regarding the circumstances. Although there may be delays, I'm sure it's possible.

    Thanks for replying. I got this xbox on christmas eve of last year. Is there any way to fix this without taking it apart?
